Tullibody Doocot or Dovecot, also known as New Mills Crossing Dovecot, is situated to the west of Tullibody, it can be accessed on foot via the pathway / cycleway between Cambus and Menstrie, which passes the edge of Tullibody at the small industrial estate (Dumyat Business Park). The ruined building is fenced off from the pathway in it's own field.
"On the left bank of the river Devon, 700 yards south-south-east of the old Bridge of Tullibody, is a late dovecot, rectangular on plan. It measures 19 ¼ by 17 ¼ feet externally. The masonry is of rubble, harled. There is one string-course. The flanks are crow-stepped, the upper part being stepped to receive an ‘upstand’ in the roof, in which are entrances for the birds. The entrance, which faces south-east, has an iron-sheeted door."
RCAHMS 1933, visited 2 May 1928.
The 17th century building has, since 1960, been Grade B listed. It is currently on the buildings at risk register. The doocot is one of only two remaining in Clackmannanshire and the only one which was purpose built.
