Pavilion Cinema - Alloa

Located in Alloa, the Pavilion Cinema was opened in October 1913. Designed by architect Thomas Marton of Coatbridge, it programmed pictures and variety and had a 20ft deep stage and six dressing rooms. Seating was provided for 810 in the stalls and 156 in the circle. In 1930 it was equipped with a Western Electric sound system.

The Pavilion Cinema was closed around 1964 and was in the late 1970's demolished to allow for the building of a supermarket (Fine Fare (later rebranded as Somerfield)) now subdivided into smaller shop units.
