On the outskirts of Devonside, A908 from Fishcross
Devonside, is a village on the southern outskirts of Tillicoultry that was originally built next to a brickworks which used clay spoil from the neighbouring coal mine, providing additional employment. In 1891 it had a population of 687. Devonside's population is now tracked as part of Tillicoultry and so individual stats are hard to find, but it is not likely to have grown significantly, with Tillicoultry encroaching to the north, and Coalsnaughton to the south.
