Easter Sheardale lies on the B9140 Brick Row road between Coalsnaughton and Dollarbeg.
Located near the former location of Sheardale House, the very small collection of houses remains as a loose hamlet in the area, which has seen changing fortunes over the years. Most of the housing now is either new or has been refurbished over time. The dilapidated houses, previously reported in the Third Statistical Account for the area, have been demolished or repaired.
